Week 6
In English this week, we received a surprise present wrapped in rainbow wrapping paper. Inside, we discovered a book called The Rainbow Bear, and a note saying it was a gift to Year 2 from the people in the magical, mysterious world of The Crystal Kingdom!
It also contained instructions showing us how to create our own polar bear art. We had lots of fun using stencils and crayons to create our polar bear pictures. You can see a few examples below.
In Science this week, we carried out an investigation to find out which materials could be squashed, bent, twisted and stretched. The children enjoyed investigating all sorts of materials such as pipe cleaners, plastic bottles, drinking straws, elastic bands and sponges. Some children even volunteered to take off their socks so we could test them too! We recorded our findings in a table.
