The Super Squirrels have enjoyed learning outdoors this week. 

At lunchtimes, we have been enjoying exploring the new features for OPAL: mud pit, sand pit, tyre pyramid, tunnel.

In science, we went outside to carry out our own investigation about the human body. We worked together to test whether people with longer femurs can jump further and whether people with longer arms can throw further. We found that there was no correlation between these and decided that it was more about the power in our muscles rather than the length.

This week, we also enjoyed making our first visit to the new pond area and were amazed by how it looks! We emptied our water bottles into it to help to fill it up! We cannot wait to explore this more once everything is properly finished. We wonder what nature we might find there in the future!
