A great 'Hook' lesson based on our new book 'Street Child' by Berlie Doherty.

We went back to the Victorian times! Boys and girls lined up separately after break and came into class through different doors. They were so surprised to see the classroom had been rearranged so they were set in rows, on separate desks.

The children wrote in chalk on slate boards and also had a go at dipping quills in ink to write - this got very messy!
