Armistice Day 2024
This morning, Mrs Cartwright and I had the pleasure of accompanying a small group of Y6 pupils into the village, to pay our respects on Armistice Day. The children shared some of the poetry that they have been working on and spoke with confidence, empathy and sensitivity. We listened to The Last Post and took the 2 minutes silence to reflect. The children demonstrated each of our school values in abundance and I couldn't have been more proud of them - they were wonderful ambassadors for WPS.
Mrs Brown led the assembly in school from 10.45am where the children heard more poems from the Year 6 children and also listened to The Last Post before the 2 minutes silence.
Thank you for supporting the Poppy Appeal in school, I know that many donations have been received.
